The Petronas Towers also known as the Petronas Twin Towers reaches 451.9 m up in the sky when including the spires. Construction started in early 1994 and the 88-floor building was first officially opened in mid 1999. The skybridge connects the two towers on the 41st and 42nd floors. According to the CTBUH's official definition and ranking, they were the tallest buildings in the world from 1998 to 2004, but remain the tallest twin buildings ever built.
